Itineraries that fit
the days you actually have
Nine routes, from a single sprint to five days across Hunan. Each one lists transport, ticket costs and the order that dodges the worst queues.
Start with time, not with highlights
The mistake is choosing sights first. Choose days first, then let the sights sort themselves.
Same mountains, different pace
Three versions built around legs, lenses and small humans.
What each day count really buys you
| Days | What you see | What you skip | Feels like |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Tianmen, or Yuanjiajie only | Everything else | A taster |
| 2 | Yuanjiajie, Tianzi, Golden Whip Stream | Yangjiajie, glass bridge, Tianmen | Rushed but complete |
| 3 | Park ×2, Tianmen | Glass bridge, Yangjiajie | Comfortable |
| 4 | Park ×2.5, Tianmen, glass bridge | Fenghuang | Relaxed |
| 5 | All of the above + ancient town | Nothing essential | A proper trip |
Every itinerary here assumes one flexible day. Zhangjiajie sits in a cloud belt; a three-day trip with no buffer has roughly a one-in-three chance of losing a morning to fog. If your dates are fixed and short, add the buffer before you add another attraction.

Four days is the number we would book again
Two days of pillars, one of glass and cable cars, one slow morning. No backtracking, no 6 am sprints except the one that matters.
